"You're not going to get any inheritance in our family," they said, "because you are the son of another woman". (Judges 11:1-2). NIV

The spirit of rejection operates in various forms in the society, it could be found among family members, it operates in schools, places of work, in the church and in political circles.

In the above text, Jephthah was rejected by his brothers because he was a child born out of wedlock by a prostitute. They could not see the great leadership potential that God has deposited in Jephthah, their focus was only on his rough background. Jephthah was driven away and deprived of his right to their father's property.

Some parents give up on their children because they found them to be problematic as they grow, either because of their weaknesses, physical or mental challenges. These children suffer rejection because people fail to see the valuable gifts God has deposited in them. Over the years, we have seen cases of children, who were brought to our mission school because they were rejected by other schools because of these challenges. We accept these children with the belief that God has created them for a purpose and he has deposited something good in them inspite of their weaknesses or challenges.

One of such students was giving a speech on his graduation day from Elementary school, "I was rejected by other schools, but I thank God that in this school, I was accepted and today I am graduating".

If you have not being rejected, you will not appreciate the value of acceptance. The spirit of rejection can deprive their victims of their rights and privileges, make people to hate them, try to harm or even kill their victims.
