Arbitrum (ARB) outperforms Bitcoin (BTC) network in terms of transaction fees

BeInCrypto – Layer 2 (L2) blockchain, Arbitrum, has surpassed 200 million transactions. According to analytics platform Dune, the network currently has more than 5 million active users.

On April 20, the total value of transaction fees on Arbitrum was around $800,000, $200,000 more than on the Bitcoin network.

At the same time, the transaction price remains relatively stable: it will cost you about $0.1 to send ETH to Arbitrum and $0.28 to swap tokens.

While Arbitrum's 7-day average fee is still a bit below $387,000 compared to Bitcoin's $630,000, the growing number of transactions could indicate increased user interest and speed. Mass adoption of L2 blockchain is increasing rapidly.

What happens to the price of Arbitrum (ARB)?

This week, the native ARB token showed fighting spirit: on April 18, its price hit a monthly high of $1.79.

Arbitrum reflects the recent decline of the entire market, but the asset is down much less than other altcoins.

At the time of writing, ARB is trading at $1.44, with no major changes in the last 24 hours.

You still have a chance to initiate a rally and make another attempt to get closer to the $2 level.
