US Presidential Candidate Expresses Positive View On Bitcoin, Warns About CBDC
United States presidential candidate Robert F. Kennedy Jr. expressed a positive view on Bitcoin and cryptocurrencies, while strongly warning about CBDCs.
Robert F. Kennedy Jr., the Democratic candidate for the 2024 US presidential election, expressed via Twitter that Bitcoin represents an escape from the dangers of a financial bubble:
“Cryptocurrencies like Bitcoin provide the public with an outlet […]when this bubble is always bursting. So the White House is colluding with bankers to get us all stuck in a speculative and controlling bubble."
Robert F. Kennedy Jr. warning against the
CBDC mechanisms of social monitoring and control”, and added:
“The claim that FedNow is not the first step towards a CBDC would be easier to swallow if we weren’t aware of the Biden administration’s continued hateful attacks against crypto.”
In this regard, he quotes former Coinbase CTO, Balaji Srinivasan, who points out: "The difference between FedNow and CBDC is important from a technical standpoint, but not from a civil liberties standpoint." warning of Kennedy and Srinivasan
is not without foundation. Recently, the president of the European Central Bank, Christine Lagarde, admitted that CBDC will be used to control users, as assessed by BeInCrypto.
