Bitcoin ATM maker refunds customers affected by zero-day hack

Bitcoin ATM maker General Bytes says it is refunding cloud-hosted customers who lost funds in a "security incident" in March that exposed customers' online wallets.

As previously reported by Cointelegraph, a hacker accessed sensitive information including passwords, private keys, and coins online on March 17 and 18 after uploading a Java application to the General Bytes terminal from distant. The ATM maker detailed the attack in a March 23 incident report.
